Why cruisers choose Nomad

Built to set up once, then run for years.

Nomad is as portable as Scout, with a tougher integrated chassis, front-face controls and rugged plumbing for years of serious water production on yachts, motor cruisers and off-grid expedition rigs.

  • 40, 60 or 80 LPH. Sized for the way you actually cruise — couples, families, or full crews.
  • All controls on one panel. LPP / HPP switches, feed and membrane pressure gauges, TDS monitor and flow meter — no scattered components.
  • Portable, not fragile. Built to move like Scout, then keep producing water trip after trip.
  • Serviceable, anywhere. Standard 10″ filter housings and globally available RO service parts.
  • CATPUMP stainless high-pressure pump. Powered by a CATPUMP 2SFSEEL stainless steel high-pressure pump, selected for extremely long service life in challenging marine conditions.

The Nomad control panel

Every control where you can see it.

No hidden boards. No app. Pressure, flow, water quality and power state all live on the front face — exactly the way an engineer would build it for themselves.

Nomad front control panel
  1. 1

    LPP & HPP switches

Low- and high-pressure pumps on toggles. Prime, run, flush — all in your hand.

  2. 2

    Feed & membrane gauges

Dual analog gauges. See pressure on the pre-filter and the RO membrane at a glance.

  3. 3

    TDS monitor (model SM-1)

On-board total dissolved solids reading in ppm. Confirms the water is safe to drink before it reaches the tank.

  4. 4

    LPH flow meter

Live litres-per-hour. Tune your back-pressure regulator without guessing.

How Nomad makes water

Three stages from seawater to tank.

  1. 1

    Pre-filter

Seawater is drawn in through a stainless intake strainer and passed through a 2-stage pre-filter — sediment, fines, then a polish stage to protect the membrane.

  2. 2

    Reverse osmosis

The high-pressure pump forces water through a marine-grade RO membrane at ~55 bar. Salt and contaminants stay behind. Fresh water comes through the other side.

  3. 3

    Verify & tank

The TDS monitor confirms the output reads < 500 ppm. Flow meter shows real litres-per-hour. Clean water flows directly into your fresh tank.

Common questions

Before you buy a Nomad.

Does the Nomad need to be fixed in place?

No. Nomad can be run as a portable watermaker, then packed away when not in use. It is built with the controls, plumbing and chassis integration to handle long-term service without needing to be locked into one layout.

What's the difference between Nomad and Scout?

Scout is the lighter grab-and-go option at ~30 LPH.

Nomad keeps the portable DNA, then steps up output, controls and serviceability. It is available in 40, 60 or 80 LPH with all controls on one panel.

What power options are available?

Nomad 40 is 12V DC. Nomad 60 is available in 12V or 24V DC. Nomad 80 is available in 24V or 48V DC. A 1500W 240V AC waterproof power supply is available.

What high-pressure pump does Nomad use?

Nomad uses a CATPUMP 2SFSEEL stainless steel high-pressure pump, selected for long service life in harsh marine conditions.

Can it run on brackish water?

Yes. Nomad is built for seawater duty, so brackish water is an easier job. Output can increase and operating pressure can drop depending on salinity and feed conditions.

What's the warranty and service story?

2 years parts and labour on the unit, pro-rata on the RO membrane. We're on the Gold Coast — when you call LEDI, you talk to the engineers who built it. Spares ship Australia-wide; international service via our partner network.

Portable when you need it. Built for years of service.

Tell us about your vessel and crew. We'll come back with a clear recommendation — Nomad 40, 60 or 80 — sized for the cruising you actually do.
